The most important thing to remember:

Travertine Pavers are most commonly used outdoors, on pool decks, patios, walkways and driveways. At 1.25″ thick, they are extremely durable and suitable for almost any outdoor application.

Travertine Tiles, on the other hand, are best used indoors or on a covered outdoor porch. At .5″ thick, they can also be used for exterior wall cladding, kitchen countertops, backslashes, bathrooms, showers, and the like.

It is commonplace to use Travertine Tiles on an existing concrete slab to save money over using Travertine Pavers.
