LTL (Less-than-Truckload) deliveries are limited up to 20,000 lbs of material in weight. The LTL deliveries may include liftvgate service depending on your location. Lift gate service is a curb side delivery service where the driver of the freight company will push the travertine pallets or crates by the help of a pallet jack on top of the lift at the back of the truck. The lift will slowly bring the pallets or crates to the ground level. The driver will more than likely not back up on your driveway and will only leave the products curbside.
Anything over the 20,000 lbs weight will be considered a partial load up to 38,000 lbs and any weight over 38,000 lbs will be considered as a full truck. With any partial truck or full truck deliveries, you would need to provide a forklift and a pallet jack (for van trucks only) It is quite easy to rent a forklift locally and the driver of the delivery truck will most likely operate the forklift or will provide a quick training on how to use it as it is very straight forward.
